A Malian national, he will take up his post on 1 April and will also oversee other Central African countries such as Gabon, Chad, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Congo, the Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea and Sao Tome and Principe.
Aboubacar Coulibaly holds a doctorate in medicine from Cheik Anta Diop University in Senegal and has 20 years of experience with the Nestlé Group. He joined the group in 2002 as medical delegate for nutrition.
Prior to his appointment, Aboubacar Coulibaly was, since May 2021, General Business Manager for Senegal & Satellites at Nestlé Senegal. In this position, he managed the business in Senegal, Gambia, Mauritania, Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde.
Prior to that, he was responsible for ambient dairy products in Nigeria and Group Head of Sales Development for the Savanna Cluster (Mali, Burkina, Niger, Togo & Benin). From 2010 to 2014, Aboubacar Coulibaly was Managing Director of Nestlé Burkina Faso, where he managed Nestlé’s operations in Burkina Faso, Togo and Benin (2 operating companies and 1 liaison office).
Before that, Aboubacar Coulibaly was Managing Director of Nestlé Togo, where he created and managed an operating company in the Lomé Free Zone. Before that, he was Country Manager for Benin and Togo.
Aboubacar Coulibaly was also, for 4 years, Group Manager for Category Sales Development for Nestlé Sahel (Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, Togo, Benin), where he set up the CCDS function in the Sahel cluster. He was also assistant trade marketing manager at Nestlé Mali.
