Boris Bilé Coffi of Côte d’Ivoire has been appointed Managing Director of BGFIBank Europe, based in Paris. He succeeds Francesco De Musso of Congo-Brazzaville, who has been appointed Director General of BGFIBank in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
BGFIBank Group is an international financial group with 2,300 employees in 11 countries: Benin, Cameroon, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, France, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Madagascar, Democratic Republic of Congo, Sao Tome and Principe and Senegal.
Created in 2009 and based in Paris, BGFIBank Europe is one of the eleven subsidiaries of the BGFIBank Group, the leading financial group in Central Africa. Prior to his appointment as CEO of BGFIBank Europe, Boris Bilé Coffi was deputy CEO of BGFIBank Europe, since January 2019. Prior to that, he was director of credit & legal affairs at BGFIBank Côte d’Ivoire, from November 2010 to January 2019. Prior to joining BGFIBank, Boris Bilé Coffi worked at UBA Côte d’Ivoire as Credit Risk Manager and at Société Générale Côte d’Ivoire as Head of Risk Management and at
Boris Bilé Coffi holds a Master’s degree in Money-Finance from the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, in Nice, France.
Francesco de Musso, over 15 years of experience in international finance
Francesco de Musso has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of BGFIBank DRC, a subsidiary created in 2009 and the first bank in the DRC and one of the few in sub-Saharan Africa to have obtained AML 30000® certification, an international standard designed to combat money laundering and the financing of terrorism (AML/FT). “I am delighted to join a subsidiary such as BGFIBank DRC, a real driving force of the BGFIBank Group. In line with the AML 30000®* certification, the subsidiary is continuing its perpetual search for excellence and intends to fully integrate its development actions in the framework of the deployment of the new “Dynamique 2025″ Corporate Project,” said Francesco De Musso, Managing Director of BGFIBank DRC.
Prior to his appointment, he was Director General of BGFIBank Europe, since 2016. Long before taking up this position, he was, from 2013 to 2016, Inspector General and head of the BGFIBank Group’s control division, based in Gabon. In this position, he was in charge of organizing, supervising and monitoring the execution of the annual control plan of the Inspectorate General, investigating and following up on special cases and leading the internal audit department within the BGFIBank Group.
Before joining BGFIBank, Francesco de Musso worked for 15 years in other international banking and financial institutions. He was Director of Risk and Compliance at Banque Commerciale Internationale in Congo (Brazzaville), from 2012 to 2013; Inspector General at Banque Commerciale Internationale, from 2010 to 2012; Audit Leader at GE Money Bank, in France (2005-2006) and, from 2001 to 2004, he was an Engagement Manager at Mazars, an international company of French origin specializing in auditing, accounting, taxation and business consulting.
Francesco de Musso is a graduate of the University of Paris Duaphine, the University Parsi Descartes and holds a Master in Executive Management from HEC Paris.
