Gabonese Huguette Oyini appointed Regional Director of BGFI Bank group in Central Africa

She is responsible for overseeing BGFI Bank’s subsidiaries in Cameroon, the Republic of Congo (Brazzaville), the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Equatorial Guinea and Central Africa.

The BGFI Bank Group describes itself as the leading financial group in the CEMAC zone and the leader in its domestic market, Gabon, as well as in the Republic of Congo. With 2,200 employees, the group is present in 11 countries: Benin, Cameroon, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, France, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Madagascar, Democratic Republic of Congo, Sao Tome and Principe and Senegal.

In her new position, the bank said, Huguette Oyini is responsible for steering the performance of the Central Africa region and federating all the skills, promoting the pooling of available resources and exploiting all possible opportunities for synergy between the various entities.

Prior to her appointment, Huguette Oyini was, since June 2016, Deputy Managing Director of BGFI Holding corporation in charge of the Group’s operational efficiency. She was, de facto, the number 2 of the banking group headed by Henri-Claude Oyima. She oversaw the efficiency of the group’s subsidiaries and was in charge of the digitalisation of services.

Huguette Oyini was also director of global risk management within the bank, which she joined in 2002 as manager of guarantees and insurance within BGFIBank SA. For 8 years, she successively supervised the various activities related to the management of commitments, before joining the management committee of BGFIBank Gabon in January 2010 as director of commitments and legal affairs.

In September 2012, Huguette Oyini took over the head of the Group Credit Department, then the Global Risk Management Department, a position she held before being promoted to Deputy General Manager of BGFI Holding Corporation.
