Patrick Bofunda Ilingo, new Director of Africa at TV5MONDE

TV5MONDE announced on Thursday, May 19, the appointment of Patrick Bofunda Ilingo to the position of Director of Africa within the Directorate of Distribution, Marketing and Commercialization.

This new appointment, explains the channel, completes the organization of the marketing department of the French-speaking channel following the retirement of Jean-Luc Cronel and the appointment of Denise Epoté to the position of Director of Distribution, Marketing and Sales in January 2022.

Former diplomat

With a Bachelor’s degree in public administration and a Master’s degree in law, Patrick Bofunda Ilingo began his career in 2011 as private secretary to Christian Atoki Ileka, former Democratic Republic of Congo ambassador to France. In 2018, he was appointed political and diplomatic assistant to the ambassador. At the same time, in 2018, he founded the agency 2i Conseil in Kinshasa, specializing in marketing and public communication influence strategy.

He continues his career in 2020 as manager of public affairs, external communication and marketing at PPC BARNET in Kinshasa.

In 2021, Patrick Bofunda Ilingo is appointed expert and member of the working group on development of the G20 for the Presidency of the DRC. He joined TV5MONDE in May 2022 as Director of TV5MONDE Africa.
