Dr. Samba Seye, whose appointment is effective September 1, 2021, replaces Imrane Barry, who has been reassigned to TotalEnergies SE headquarters in Paris.
Dr. Samba Seye is described as a seasoned professional with work experience in several countries. He holds a PhD in fluid mechanics from the University of Science and Technology in Lille, France, where he worked as a lecturer from 1990 to 1993. Subsequently, Dr. Samba Seye joined Shell, where he held various positions, before joining Total Marketing and Services ( Total MS) in 2014, as a project manager in the Strategy Department.
In 2015, he was appointed Deputy General Manager West Africa, a position he held until his appointment in 2016 as Vice President Specialties/General Trading of Total MS / Africa. Subsequently, in 2017, he was appointed Deputy General Manager West Africa of Total MS /Africa. He is also a member of the Ethics Committee of TotalEnergies SE since 2019. Samba Salfal was also Chairman of Total Petroleum Ghana Ltd and Chairman of Total Côte d’Ivoire.
