Dr. Irène Kilubi, a German national from the Democratic Republic of Congo, has been nominated for the German Diversity Awards in the category “Audience Award”. The awards ceremony will take place on November 25. Since September 2021, Irène Kilubi is also an “Expert Advisor” for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH, the German international development cooperation agency.
Having arrived in Germany with her parents in 1989 at the age of 4, Dr. Irene Y. Kilubi has had to overcome many obstacles in her career, but has never been intimidated. After working for large companies in Germany, where she held senior positions, the 36-year-old entrepreneur now advises companies and brands on their development. Indeed, Dr. Irène Kilubi is founder and managing director of brandPreneurs & brandFluencers. She supports pioneers, visionaries and changemakers in the three subject areas of community building, corporate influencing and connecting GenXYZ.
Dr. Irène Kilubi is also the initiator and innovation manager of “JOINT GENERATIONS”, which aims to bring people of different ages together to shape the future with them in an intergenerational and sustainable way. For the entrepreneur “those who share knowledge can only win”. For this reason, she encourages dialogue and community involvement and sees particular value in the networking of different generations.
Dr. Irene Kilubi is one of the finalists for the Digital Female Leader Award 2021 of GDW Global Digital Women GmbH in the field of “New Work”. Her focus is on the future of work and connecting young and old in the professions. Start-up and online scene
For four years now, Dr. Irène Kilubi has been anchored in the start-up and online scene, implementing social selling activities and implementing target group-oriented go-to-market and branding strategies. She is also an Expert Advisor to the European Innovation Council Accelerator of the European Commission. She supports the global start-up scene in her activities as a mentor and coach at Techstars, European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT) Health, Insurtech Hub and as a juror at BayStartup, the African Leadership Award and the Unicorn Battle.

Great responsibilities within large companies
Dr. Irène Kilubi holds a Doctorate in economics and social sciences (Ph. D.), business engineering, production economics and industrial management, Summa cum laude (Outstanding) from the university of Bremen (2016). She is also Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), supply chain management, purchasing and logistics (2014), from the university of Erlangen-Nuremberg, the second largest university in Bavaria, Germany.
Dr. Irène Kilubi also holds a Master’s degree in supply chain management and logistics (Distinction), from de university of Warwick and also a Master of business administration (MBA), specialization in entrepreneurship and innovation (extra-occupational), from university of London (2019 – 2021). She also have a diploma in strategic management and Leadership with university of London – Global MBA, entrepreneurship and innovation.
Dr. Irène Kilubi spent several years in companies such as BMW, as international procurement; Siemens, as senior consultant, corporate development, corporate technology (Digital transformation) and Deloitte as manager, strategy operations. While working for Siemens, she successfully developed a strategy for corporate procurement including a roadmap for transformation and execution, drafting related policies and guidelines for sourcing activities. For BMW, she handled the procurement of driving dynamics wheels (strategic and operational) with a procurement volume of €300M per year. She also successfully collaborated with all relevant cross-functional parties to offer solutions to complex procurement issues while serving as “Lead Buyer” of the large product line in Europe, USA, and China.

Dr. Irène Kilubi is responsible for the LinkedIn Local Community in Munich and has created the successful online debate format OnPoint on LinkedIn to facilitate a solution-oriented dialogue on economic as well as socio-political and socio-political topics. She is one of the Xing Top Minds 2020 and co-author of the Spiegel bestseller “Zukunftsrepublik” published in 2021.

Since 2017, Dr. Irène Kilubi is a Senior Lecturer at various universities in Germany, UK, and Austria. Lectures include: entrepreneurship and digital marketing at universities such as university of Salzburg, Hochschule München, university of Warwick, university of Fribourg, university of Stuttgart, professional school of business & technology Kempten.
